Philips presented four OLED lamps to Euroluce International Lighting Fair in Milan. The prototypes offered by Philips OLED showing the possibilities in the field of mood lighting.

The prototypes by Philips was under the name 'OH LEDs in Milan show, designed by studio designer Superstudio Group. The company demonstrated a hanging model, a standing lamp, a desk lamp and a plafonnière, using motion sensors to operate. The lamps use Philips Lighting Lumiblade-OLED. In conventional LEDs, the light output be increased if desired. It was also a dynamically lit wall for running business applications.

According to Rudy Provoost, CEO of Philips Lighting, OLED lighting is at the right moment. "The economy and the


environment are forcing us as soon as possible moving from light bulbs to cleaner and more energy efficient solutions to make. Leds and OLED also offer benefits in terms of design," said Provoost. The presentation of the prototypes does not mean they will be soon in the shop . "It is too early to retail products to announce. The concepts are intended to show what is possible with OLED lighting," said Harpe.
