test: Annoying, these phones that fall short of battery after 24 hours without even having spent much time in conversation … The Philips 650 a solution: it consumes very little power in standby. As a result, its autonomy smashed all records. While Philips claims that it may take a month in day (8 hours and 30 minutes in conversation), it would tend, for once, to believe the manufacturer. In moderate use, this phone has taken almost fifteen days without charge.
A nice record, not the least of the qualities of Philips 650, we found the handling very pleasant. To achieve such good self, this phone was first with a battery for the least resistant: a model Li-Ion 1100 mAh. A battery whose volume n’handicape not too much weight (93 grams) and size of the phone that has an excellent grip. Then, energy saving is particularly strict on this model by default even turns off the screen after a few seconds if the phone is closed and not used (note that the backlight can be extended). A phone that “sleeping” peacefully until next call … The choice of display technologies (CSTN and OLED) also avoids leakage. Another highlight: the lack of camera, light energy gourmet par excellence (it is available as optional accessory). But beware that the talkative unrepentant does not rub too hands. If the autonomy of 650 held up better at times to “chat” than most phones, mainly in moderate use that we feel the benefits of energy savings. In terms of ergonomics, difficult to take if this phone design pleasant. The mixture of materials and colors dark appeal to users seeking both the elegance, simplicity and ruggedness. The phone Philips 755 was designed to exercise creativity and offer additional features to the basic telephone. At first glance, the 755 seems a little “fake”. Adopting the format bar, it measures 11×5x2 cm. Weighing 89 g, it is very light. Its touch screen, 128 x 160 pixels and 65,000 colors occupies half its upper face, the rest welcoming the keyboard and a touch navigation button with central quadridirectionnelle. The keyboard is very compact and keys protruding require little time to adapt. A little rigid and pressed, the navigation key is to use when handling delicate fast. The left side welcomes support for the stylus, the right includes the headphone jack and power, the infrared port and the shutter of the camera.
